Huawei‘s sub-brand Honor has finally launched their new flagship device Honor V20 also known as Honor View 20 in China, after building enough hype around it by releasing teasers in early December. Honor V20 succeeds the previous Honor V10 that was launched last year in November. It offers a significant upgrade in both design and hardware compared to its predecessor Honor V10.

Honor V20 is the company’s first phone with In-display hole design for selfie camera shifting from the previous trend of notch display made famous by iPhone X.

Honor V20 Key Specifications

Talking about the display, It features a beautiful 6.4 inch FHD+ LCD display with screen resolution of 2310×1080 pixels. For performance, It comes loaded with Huawei’s flagship 2.6 GHz Octa-core, Kirin 980 Soc. According to Honor’s internal tests, Kirin 980 can stay at cooler temperatures longer compared to Oneplus 6T and Xiaomi’s Mi 8, especially when streaming videos online while charging the device. V20 will come with 2 variants of RAM i.e 6 GB and 8 GB with up to 256 GB of storage.

For Gaming, the device comes loaded with GPU Turbo 2.0 for the smooth gaming experience. It’ll also have the latest Android’s 9 Pie out of the box with Honor’s magic MI UI 2.0.1 skin loaded on top.

In the Camera department, the device houses a massive 48 megapixel (f/1.8) Sony’s IMX586 primary camera at the rear with In-display 25 MP selfie camera housed at the front. On top of this, it also features a new time-of-flight 3D camera, not for photography but for 3D body tracking for body shaping which can be utilized by slimming the body. V20 draws its power from 4000 mAh battery supported by fast charging.

Honor V20 Price

Honor has currently launched V20 in two different variants. 2,999 yuan (Rs 30,500) for the 6GB+128GB model and 3,499 yuan (Rs 35,500) for the 8GB+128 variant. Honor V20 will launch globally on January 22nd in Paris.
